Before you begin using Sigerson you'll want to make sure that all of your Sherlock plug-in are in the Internet Search Sites folder that's in your System Folder. (If you've never used any other Sherlock plug-in managers you can skip this step.) Unlike other plug-in managers Sigerson doesn't use a separate folder to store unused plug-ins in. Once your plug-ins are in place you can open Sigerson. When you do this is what you'll see:

Of course, you may not have over 200 plug-ins installed... But you can!
Sigerson's main window is broken into three sections:
next to every plug-in that is enabled in the current set. Enabled plug-ins are the only ones used when you conduct a search.
Other Sigerson Stuff
Preferences
Sigerson lets you change the way it works in a variety of different ways. Choosing "Preferences" from the "Edit" lets you change everything from Sigerson's display font to whether Sigerson should hide certain plug-ins from Sherlock. (This makes Sherlock load faster.)
Play around with all of these options to see how to make Sigerson work best for you.
QuickLoad
You may have noticed the triangle to the left of the Sigerson graphic. Clicking this triangle turns on Sigerson's QuickLoad feature. When you open Sigerson with QuickLoad turned on the program will only load your currently saved sets; you won't see any icons, check boxes or plug-in names. Just choose one of your saved search sets, type your search words and you're off to the web as quick as a flash.

Click the triangle in Sigerson's upper left-hand corner to turn on QuickLoad.
Sigerson Tips
Sigerson's tips are a quick way to remember (or discover!) all the ways that Sigerson can help save you time. This tips window automatically loads when you start Sigerson. If you want to hide it just remove the check from the check box. When you want to use Sigerson Tips you'll find it conveniently located under the Window menu.

Sigerson Tips give you fast and easy access to everything you need to know about Sigerson.
Hot Key ***The Sigerson Hot Key is currently in beta. But you can download it and play if you're a wee bit adventurous! Just select Sigerson Home Page from the URLs menu in Sigerson. You'll find the Hot Key extension at the web site.
The Sigy Hot Key is a slick little extension that allows you to open Sigerson with a couple of keystrokes that you select yourself. You can choose which keys to use by selecting Hot Key from the Edit menu. This makes it a piece of cake to open Sigerson without ever touching your mouse.
